September Start-Up - First Steps to Fitness

The gym isn’t just for athletes or regular exercisers, it’s for anyone who wants to feel a little better, move a little more and take one small step towards better health.  Start at your own pace, try something simple and discover that getting started is easier than you think.

Why not give it a go with your work colleagues?  Going together can make it feel more relaxed, more enjoyable and a lot less intimidating.  You do not need to be fit or experienced, just willing to give something new a try. Start small, support each other and take the first step toward feeling healthier and more energised!

ClubAZ are scheduling September Start-Up sessions to encourage the non-exercising community on site to take their first steps together. Each session will be led by an experienced instructor with the focus on having ‘fun with friends’ whilst undertaking some low intensity movement in a safe environment. 

All 30-minute sessions will be FREE of charge from 7th September – 4th October and are scheduled every weekday to accommodate shift patterns on site.  These will be small group sessions to ensure individual attention and facilitate a less intimidating environment.

Couch to Class 30-minute sessions (studio based) – max 8 people

· 5 mins warm up 

· 20 mins strength / tone

· 5 mins stretch & mobility

Begin to Gym 30-minute sessions (gym based) – max 6 people

· 5 mins warm up

· 10 mins gentle cardio (treadmill walk etc..)

· 10 mins strength / tone

· 5 mins stretch & mobility

Qualifying criteria:

· You must work on site.

· Open to beginners / non-gym members only (non-ClubAZ members welcome too!).

· No experience required (preferred!).

· Willingness to ‘give it a go’ and have some fun along the way!

What you need:

· Comfortable clothing that enables easy movement (or gym clothes if you prefer).

· Water bottle.

· Pound coin or trolley token if you would like to use a changing room locker.
